| The Garrison Commercial Club is ready for the Feb 25th-26th Thunder On Ice Race on Mille Lacs Lake
To help us get the races started on time, PLEASE register on line. As always, registration closes at NOON Thursday prior to the event. A link to series tracker can be found under the race registration tab "on line registration" in the header on the main page of our website. We have experienced several drivers who registered on line who had different sled numbers than what the registration soft ware had. Please double check your sled number in Series Tracker and make any changes if needed.
$5,000 purse for Vintage Payback in addition to the standard ORA entry fee payback schedule
$4000 purse for Late model Payback in addition to the standard ORA entry fee payback schedule
Contingencies & Specials
- 1. Dash for Cash (register on site day of race only)
- Saturday: Vintage $10 entry; 10 laps; Super Stock Open class eligible sleds; $500 to win
- Sunday: Late Model $25 entry; 25 laps open to any race legal sleds minus Champ and mod motors; $500 to win

- 4. WBF500C (Wahl Bros. F500 Challenge)
- $1000 added by the Garrison Commercial Club and Wahl Bros Racing Products to the top six drivers of the two race series (1st $400; 2nd $200; 3rd $150; 4th $100; 5th $100; 6th $50)
- Wahl Bro’s Series trophy to the high pt driver of the Series
- 5. Curtis Boivin Fund Raiser Raffle (over $4400 of donated items)
- Raffle divided into $5 tickets and $10 tickets
- 9am - 4pm raffle in food tent, then moves up to the Blue Goose
- 8pm raffle ends and drawings occur at the Blue Goose
- Must be present to claim prizes; ORA will assume ownership of all unclaimed prizes by 9pm

The "Race on Trace" Feb 18-19 in Grey Eagle, Mn. The ice is looking good and it appears the weather is holding out for us.
The normal $5,000 purse for Vintage Payback PLUS:
- IFS 440X - $600 from Darrell Eve from Gallatin Gateway, MT
- IFS 340X - $300 from Vintagesleds.com
F-500 - $250 added from the Race on Trace Committee plus (normal payout of $100-$75-$50-$25) Saturnday
- F-500 - $250 added from Country Cat of Sauk Centre plus (normal payout of $100-$75-$50-$25) Sunday
- SM 440 lq – From the families of Richard and Jim Meagher in the memory of our fathers. An Extra $50.00 goes to the winner and the remainder of the money raised will be drawn from all the drivers in the class at the awards

ORA US Nationals 2/3 - 2/5/2012
Cancelled
January 2012 will likely go down as the 7th warmest January in Minnesota history. With temperatures this month running a full 5 to 9 degrees above average, our beloved Ogilvie Raceway just couldn't withstand the pressure. We looked at many options such as running under the lights when the ice would be harder, to perhaps reducing the number of races or laps per race. No matter how we approached it, one question always came up. Would the track remain safe for our racers. We simply could not be comfortable saying the ice would withstand our abuse and be safe for our racers. |

The online registration system will not allow us to have a zero value to these classes, so we set them up as a $1 registration fee.
